Globe made up of flagsThe Faculty of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences places great significance on building an international community. Our international network spans educational institutions, government bodies, alumni, research and industry organisations.

We welcome visitors from around the world and encourage ongoing collaboration with a wide range of international partners; collaborations which are driven by the shared interests of academics and which promote exceptional teaching and research.

The Faculty hosts students and staff from over 80 countries, including China, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Singapore, the UK and Saudi Arabia. We embrace the diverse and open environment this creates on campus and believe that our students graduate as global-minded citizens, well-equipped to pursue careers around the world. Many of our graduates have careers that have sent them all around the world.

Positioned among the world’s top 100 universities, UWA is part of a number of international university networks. These include the World Universities Network (a group of 18 research-led universities), the Matariki Network of Universities (a select group of outstanding universities, each leading international best practice in research and education) and the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning.
