Enrolment and timetables

UWA offers you online access to effectively manage your enrolment.

Re-enrolment

Please read the re-enrolment information before proceeding to enrol via studentConnect.

  1. Timetables and class registration
  2. Invalid units
  3. Changing your enrolment
  4. Deferring your studies

Timetables and class registration

To register for laboratory and tutorial classes, use the online class registration system. This is available a few weeks before the start of each semester.

Use online timetables for all other information related to classes. If you can't find information for your unit, contact the school which teaches that unit.

Invalid units

When you enrol online in a unit and it is identified as invalid, contact the ECM Student Office You should still attend lectures, laboratory and tutorial classes marked as invalid until you've received advice from the Faculty.

If your unit choices are displayed as invalid when you re-enrol, it may be because:

  • you have not fulfilled the prerequisites to be permitted to be enrolled in that unit;
  • you are not permitted to do the unit in your current course;
  • your qualifications are not recorded on studentConnect.

If you want to enrol in the unit

If you have an invalid unit and you want the invalid status to be waived, you should email the ECM Student Office. Units showing as invalid at the end of Week 3 of semester will be deleted.

If you do not want to enrol in the unit

If you have an invalid unit and you do not want to remain enrolled in this unit, please email the ECM Student Office with your name, student number, unit code and unit name (of the unit you want deleted) and the Faculty will remove it for you.

Changing your enrolment

In the majority of cases, you can change your enrolment online through studentConnect. For further details, including relevant cut-off dates, see UWA handbooks.

Deferring your studies

If you are planning to take time off, and are not enrolled for any part of an academic year, you must apply for approved leave [PDF, 40kb]. Please submit the form to the ECM Student Office or to Student Administration.
