Mechanical Engineering


Students enrolled in this program complete a set of foundation Engineering units, core units in Mechanical engineering, and a number of option units, which may include either a Materials Engineering or Oil and Gas Engineering major.

Course details

Total points required for this course: 192

All units have a value of 6 points unless noted otherwise.

Students must complete the following:

  • The foundation Engineering units - 36 points;
  • The core units in Mechanical Engineering - 108 points;
  • One unit from Group A - 6 points;
  • Option units to make up remaining points from Groups A, B, and C, provided that no more than 12 points are from Group C, and which may be selected so as to complete the requirements of either a Materials Engineering or Oil and Gas Engineering major; and
  • A Professional Practicum of at least 12 weeks.

Mechanical Engineering majors and project units and the Mechanical Engineering option units.
