Bachelor of Commerce or Economics/Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum)


This course allows students to combine studies in Petroleum Engineering with studies in Economics or Commerce.

Total points required for this course: 252-258
Bachelor of Engineering component: 168 points
Petroleum Engineering students must not take MECH4400 Engineering for Sustainable Development
Bachelor of Economics or Commerce component: 84-90 points

Students must complete the following (as set out in the table below):

  • The foundation Engineering units - 36 points;
  • The core units in Petroleum Engineering - 120 points;
  • two option units from Group A - 12 points;
  • A Professional Practicum of at least 12 weeks; and
  • A Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Economics component - 84-90 points
