Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics

Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics staff are encouraged to use the Faculty unit outline template when preparing resources for students.

The unit outline template is based on the UWA template prepared by the Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL), incorporates the recommendations contained in the University Unit Outlines Checklist and has been approved for use by the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics Undergraduate Teaching and Learning Committee.

University Guidelines on Assessment stipulate that unit coordinatros provide students a Unit Outline which contains: a written statement of the unit learning outcomes, aligned with assessment tasks and explicit marking criteria for each asssessment task, no later than the second week of the teaching period in which they are offered.

Items in orange in the template are recommended but not mandatory,  Please change the colour to black when using these items.
