Two teams of UWA first year engineering students have won major prizes in the national Engineers Without Borders Challenge. Our students placed first and second, picking up the Champion Award and the BHP Billiton Award for Sustainable Design and Community Engagement.
Thank you to our industry partners who attended the First Year Course and Careers Day:
Starting construction mid 2009.
We welcome everyone in first-year engineering at UWA! Your first-year experience includes gaining knowledge, supportive staff and many other new students who are just like you.
Help with your enrolment and advice on selecting units is available.
Engineering first years participate in a range of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities to direct them into the new professional focus of their engineering studies.
These activities fall under First-Year Engineering Workshops (GENG1004):
You cannot enrol in GENG1004, but it will appear in your timetabling system (OLCR), so you will need to take it into account when working out your timetable.
Senior engineering undergraduates provide free one-on-one tutoring in all first-year Faculty units. Meet your peer tutors for 2009 in the Old Senate room.
The Course and Careers day will be held on Thursday 23rd April 2009 at the University Club. Please see the pdf documents below for details.
