Re-enrolment

The Faculty will only check students who indicate that they are completing in the current year unless a specific request is made.

When re-enrolling:

  • set the Correct Nominated Completion on your academic record
  • enrol in units for both semesters; student visa holders must enrol in a full-time load
  • check  your email on a regular basis
  • ensure that your student record is accurate at all times as stated on the Student Charter website.

Invalid units

When you enrol online in a unit and it is identified as invalid, contact the Faculty office. You should still attend lectures, laboratory and tutorial classes marked as invalid until you've received advice from the Faculty.

If your unit choices are displayed as invalid when you re-enrol, it may be because:

  • you have not fulfilled the prerequisites to be permitted to be enrolled in that unit;
  • you are not permitted to do the unit in your current course;
  • your qualifications are not recorded on studentConnect.

If you want to enrol in the unit

If you have an invalid unit and you want the invalid status to be waived, you should email the Faculty office. Units showing as invalid at the end of Week 3 of semester will be deleted.

If you do not want to enrol in the unit

If you have an invalid unit and you do not want to remain enrolled in this unit, please email the Faculty office with your name, student number, unit code and unit name (of the unit you want deleted) and the Faculty will remove it for you.

Undergraduates

Please remember

Use the Study guides.

Ensure you have chosen the correct program and/or major(s).

Students in single degrees who wish to take units from those available within the University (electives), should first seek the special approval of the Head of School before enrolling in that unit.  This does not apply to students enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering program if they wish to choose units from the pre-approved list.

Students doing a combined degree (Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Commerce) with a program in Mechanical engineering cannot do a major in Oil and Gas Engineering.

Familiarise yourself with the rules of your course before re-enrolling.

Postgraduate students

Please remember

Students who do not have a study plan for 2010 should contact their course co-ordinator.

Students who wish to take a unit which deviates from the rules for their course will need a Special Approval form.

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the rules of your course before re-enrolling.
