The Sydney group was founded by the late Mr Harry Helfenstein (B.E.1925 UWA) and Mr Nick Klamus (B.E. 1946 UWA). Nick continues to organise the group, along with Mr Bob Cook (B.Sc. 1943 and B.E 1946 UWA).

UWA engineering graduates in Sydney have been catching up for their traditional luncheons at Billy Blue Brasserie, North Sydney, for the past 30 years.

• The inaugural luncheon was held in May 1977!
• Luncheons are held twice a year on the second Thursday of May and November, beginning at 12 noon.
• The (current) cost is $40 per person for a two-course, a la carte meal (payable on attendance.)
