The Young Engineers aim to:
- bridge the gap between students and employers
- improve the skills with which students graduate.
The UWA Young Engineers celebrated their 10th anniversary in September 2007.
The UWA Young Engineers have grown from a group of eight forward thinking students, to 41 members in 2007.
Special guests at the celebrations were Professor Doug McEachern, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Mr Jim Brown, the President of Engineers Australia Executive WA Division.
